So Ginosi wanted a review of their property downtown residences apartments in Los Angeles hey? Well as per promised in my review I am telling all my frequent flyer friends to avoid this place like the plague.
I only received the email explaining where to go for check in (aka the building across the road) whilst I was away, luckily I decided to check my work email periodically whilst I was away, otherwise we’d have probably spent the night sleeping in the car.
The security guard doing the check in could not find anything stating I had pre-paid for a car park. Luckily I had a copy of the receipt for my $25.
I was given no information about where to go, no maps of the apartments to help find our apartment, and there was no numbers to help guide us where to go. We were not even told which car park door would be the one which the car park remote would let us in at.
On arriving at our apartment we saw a letter hiding in the door (it looked like a simple mail drop) advising us that garages would be closed from 11am to 2pm the next day and that during this time we would not be able to move our car, why was this not something we were advised about prior to 10pm that night?
The room was dirty and in desperate need of maintenance. From broken blinds to missing pieces of faucet to shower screens which had not been affixed properly, to rubbish that was left from previous occupants, if this was a survey form, both housekeeping / maintenance would be getting a big fat zero.
Finally we were not advised that it was assigned parking. In fact we determined it was not when we saw someone had parked in our assigned parking spot. We received a violation on the windscreen informing our car was about to be towed the next morning. When my wife complained to reception about this the person could not have been more uncaring.
In the future I will be doing all I can to avoid Ginosi properties and recommending that my frequently traveling friends do the same.
