Gifting HHonors points

I have the opportunity of a friend (not a relative) giving me their HH points. I have check the HH site but cannot find if this is possible. Can it be done?
(This is my first post so I hope I have done it correctly)

Thanks for your reply Gold Member - I am a bit confused though - do you mean that for someone to 'give' me their points that is still costs the same as to buy the points?

No worries. The link is a tad misleading. It states Buy HH points but the page also has Gift HH points!
