Had a wonderful surprise when I logged into my FF account yesterday and I have been gifted gold even though I did not achieve the required SC's (in fact fell well short)..then logged in today and that message has disappeared, 
called the centre and they confirmed a new gold package is on its way to me..!!. 
So had gone from the lofty heights of Platinum for two years then to gold and was not looking forward to silver. So thanks to all on this forum who helped me achieve status in the first place, its hard to go backwards.
