Taken GIFT OF GOLD STATUS

Hi Guys,
I have received an email from Hilton advising me that I can Gift Gold status to anyone I want. I am Diamond and will be until March 2023 so this is not something that I can use.

If anyone out there is a HH member, Silver member or lower and would like to go for Gold, PM me and we can talk. Please make sure you can get some use from it, dont be a once a year person pls

It’s still nice of you. HH Gold is very easy to get however that might explain why not many takers!

HH Gold is a nice status. Think I have HH Gold until March 2023 but we can't use the status as Hiltons are very expensive where we travel.

There are options, stay in KL for MYR140 - of course you need to stay in KL for that and that may not be where you travel.

The DoubleTree Hilton is one of my favourite places to stay, and is very reasonably priced. It's just a bit of a trek by PT from KL Sentral.

Just an update to all, i can't seem to find any info about this but I was in Malaysia in Feb and got to use the Gold status and got free upgrade, breakfast and executive lounge.

Just went back again and used the gold status and this time around they said that the executive lounge access is no longer part of the gold status. I was pretty upset so they let us get access to the ex lounge for this trip but will not be allowed again.

They showed me the app and it now states that you no longer get ex lounge for gold status,

In earlier years gold did grant EL access too, but thie current situation is a direct consequence of the ease with which status can be acquired in some countries via credit card.

Really??!! I thought that Gold perks were always Ex lounge access no matter what room you are in?? I know you get breakfast and a later check out but i really thought that the Ex lounge was a gold perk, no matter what
