Hi all, I have never used a lounge before and have a question (or two). I am travelling overseas from Adelaide airport. I have a lounge pass for Qantas lounge. The lounge is in the ‘general’ area of the terminal and you have to go downstairs and do all the security etc then through into departure lounge. My question is: does anyone know how much time I would have to give to get through the international security screening, it might not be worth getting the lounge pass if it takes too long I would think. Anyway, all your comments and advice will be gratefully received.

Adelaide doesnt usually have many international flights leaving at the samevtime , so i'd think an hour max before departure would work, and thats bring conservative. I suggest looking to see if there are any other internaional departures other than yours to estimate how busy theyll be.

Depending which international flight you are talking about, check if the lounge will even be open.

"Lounge operating hours are one hour before each Qantas operated service until last Qantas departure." From QF website re ADL QP.
