General Medical issues thread

30 minutes to get a radiologist report, how good is that? And all the imagery is on their app on my phone.
I took Miss TC for a wrist x-ray last year and they were able to view it instantly which was great, I had no idea they had moved on to digital rather than actual films. They even sent me the files so she could show everyone her fracture.

Just want to say that
mitral valve surgery has been done successfully for nearly 80. Years. I looked after a woman who had mitral valve surgery in 1948 at RPAH. She had no further problems until I saw her in 2004.She was then 82. Her surgeon was Frank Mills
And that surgery was done without an echocardiogram, angiogram,, bypass etc..
Just google Frank Mills and Rowan Nicks.

Speaking of your good self drron - how are you recovering?

My very best wishes for success on the long road , may it contain rewards and some peace among the challenges

I think I have taken a step in the right direction today by moving from St. Andrews to the Buderim private hospital.
I have seen a Rehab physician for the first time and nurses who listen to you.
It’s going to be a long journey.
St Andrew’s is an interesting hospital for service… :) My mother was in there several years ago after a stroke. When she was dumped out to Prince Charles, they were astonished that she had bed sores after poor nursing care.

Recently a friend was admitted on a Saturday night for severe pain diagnosed as kidney stones. When they finally did the intrusive operation, two days later, Woops, sorry, can’t find any stones. Hmm.
