Kinda a travel insurance question but it is due to ticking a particular box.
Partner has numerous health issues and late last year got a new one, currently under investigation so straight away no travel insurance
However if he has injections and then surgery in the affected area with no daily pain relief he is covered , if he is still on daily pain relief denied .
Bizarrely having the surgery actually doesn't preclude insurance. Admittedly it is expensive but we are used to that. This was insurance for a reciprocal agreement country. Non reciprocal countries don't like my spouse anymore lol
