Wonderful to enjoy a really cold shower again.

I prefer lukewarm showers
I measured the temp using a kitchen thermometer 30C.

Maybe a daft question but with so many different airlines taking away the seat air vents on the plane is one allowed to take a USB charged fan onboard ?
Reason I ask in medical is my husband has temperature control issues and some planes can be extremely warm . We would be in business class though I doubt that makes a difference

Figured I had enough on recently with my SCC removal and skin graft, thought I would follow process and see my GP for a specialist referral rather than message a colleague to fast track my self diagnosed L4 nerve root impingement which was subsequently confirmed on MRI and at consult.
As it only bothered me with night time neuropathic pain and very disturbed sleep, I could manage.

Fast forward to yesterday.
After L4/5 transforaminal epidural and DRG pulsed radio frequency, I had my first decent sleep in 14 weeks without buzzing/burning foot pain.

Having retired from the practice, much has changed and not many familiar faces.
But apparently word got around that TKWIW !
The nursing care was excellent for me but also to the other patients (eyes and dental).

And to bring it back to how I think this relates to AFF, I know my limitations with sitting/standing.

My TR "Boeing Birthday to Bali" for Mr Flyfrequently in September outlined our compromises.
We would fly MEL-DPS 737 J direct for him, and home via SYD A330 J for me.
Dare I say, I can pinpoint my downfall

Went back to the opthamologist for a follow up to my cataract surgery, whilst peering into my left eye, he commented that he thought I had a bcc just under the lashes on my bottom lid, sigh.
So, I'm booked in to have surgery at the end of January for removal
I did have a large bcc removed from my nose many years ago.
This is quite small in comparison. I'm concerned about how my eye will look, I know I'm old and not exactly handsome, I'm unlikely to be a model at this late age, but it's still worrying, or am I just being vain?

Again, I know I should be thankfull that it was caught early, but geez it's not much fun getting old.....

I had exactly the same thing, also in the left eye. It was removed under a GA.
The scar tissue causes me some angst with soreness and redness but at least it's gone.

Mine was picked up during an annual check up by my optometrist

Cost, running extra ducting and adding individual vents adds up in price. Better not tell QF, I am surprised they still feature them. they are known as “gaspers” and while the initial option cost is not too bad, ongoing maintenance can be quite expensive.

It is a fairly common site @Cossie according to my oculoplastic surgeon.

Mine was discovered in '23 after a bout of shingles, thought it was a pesky shingle that was lingering.

Extremely observant GP and optometrist sent me to Melbourne's Eye and Ear and it was deemed a BCC for urgent removal. Fortunately with private health insurance I was on the table within 72 hours ( 3 days before Christmas!)
Mine needed a flap ( and about 8 fine sutures) and I now have no lower lashes there, but the scar is virtually non exisistant.
Think we are in the same age bracket, so I wouldn't be worried about how you will look.
I was more concerned about my sight - which wasn't affected.
Had a patch for 24 hours and I wore sunglasses for a week.

He has done your cataract surgery, you are happy with him, he has picked it up early.
You should be fine @Cossie
