I can't do any walking without pain. That's the challenge.

FIL passed peacefully tonight, with us all there (well, not younger grandsons and BIL). SIL called Mr Katie at about 5:30 this afternoon knowing he wasn’t planning on getting to hospital until 8, saying he’d best get there. So we all went up and made it to have some time with him before he took his final breath.
He’d been on low doses of morphine throughout the day and actually looked comfortable lying/sleeping in bed, which we hadn’t seen for months.
My MIL did an amazing job keeping him at home until yesterday.

I also send condolences to your family @Katie. Watching the last few days and hours can be difficult and I’m glad his passing was peaceful and allowed the family to bid farewell.

I cant remember, have you had any joint replacements?

None. I may consider a whole body replacement.

Also as it turns out the MAG3 scan wife did on Friday shows left kidney at 70% and right kidney at 30%. I was concerned but they seem to imply there's only minimal damage to right kidney and left kidney is taking up the slack.

May go down the path of MV140 UTI vaccine as it appears to have success reducing the rate of recurring UTIs.

I think first serious occurrence of UTI was 2017 which was a year after caesarian, removal of womb and damaging right ureter. Next occurrence is 2022 which required hospital. Then 3 times in 2024 and now twice in 2025 all requiring hospital visits with pyelonephritis.

First thing they will check is whether reflux is the actual issue causing pyelonephritis. Note we are aware wife has defective right ureter valve.

If that is the case there is a day procedure they can do where they can inject a substance into the bladder to stop urine flowing back out into the ureter.

Hopefully MV140 reduces or eliminates UTI.

Back to the drug trial people today so MrsP could be re-assessed, have bloods taken again, and commence the first dose of the drug. She came home with a bottle of pills that at one per day will last about 4 weeks. I am to log every dose each day in a diary.

You might be right although wife has no prior history of UTI.

Arm still hurts after sling removal. Can't get it to go straight without a pain spike. Current plan is to go back to work on Thursday with weight lift limit. GP visit shortly.

Had a bad migraine last Friday. Haven't gotten more then 90 mins sleep/night since. Fallen asleep each night between midnight and 1am, wake up between 2 and 3am, unable to get back to sleep.

Normal GP has tried a number of things for the migranes. Nothing has worked.
The one last week was the worst I've had for a while.
Most get over the worst part in 20ish mins and are gone in a few hours.
The last one took 6 hours for the worst part. Had to get the bag out.
