diuretics can certainly cause hyponatraemia. Sometimes severe.

MsP has a chilli allergy. Seriously, we tried training her in the womb too. worked for masterP. Anyway she always asks before ordering at a restaurant but still gets caught (lied to).

How badly does it affect her

It really depends on the type of chilli and she says there is even a chilli that gives her no problems at all. I think it leaves her with swollen lips and at worst constricted airway. She's lived overseas since covid started (thanks to the government) so I am a bit out of touch. I think she carries an epipen when going to new destinations but I don't think ske has needed to use it.
I think the reaction time is very short so mostly she simply stops eating and then tears strips off the staff. She is not backward at coming forward.
