Somac is pantoprazole that prozac and I were mentioning earlier. If we have lots of champagne and a very late dessert I might take a Somac tablet to avoid reflux. I use two or three a year.

From my reading, Pantoprazole is one of the better tolerated proton pump inhibitors, antiacid drugs , unlike some which are reported to be linked to kidney damage. Been taking it for some years.Somac is pantoprazole that prozac and I were mentioning earlier.
I saw the rheumatologist notes from the new GP and apparently I have esophageal scleroderma. From my reading, Pantoprazole is one of the better tolerated proton pump inhibitors, antiacid drugs , unlike some which are reported to be linked to kidney damage. Been taking it fir some years.
Has anyone ever suggested immunoglobulin infusions as a therapy? It seems to be used quite a lot in autoimmune conditions. It seems to be quite successful with Ms FM and another friend is getting it for CIDP. It doesn’t cure but stops progression?I saw the rheumatologist notes from the new GP and apparently I have esophageal scleroderma.
I had to Doctor Google that.I saw the rheumatologist notes from the new GP and apparently I have esophageal scleroderma.
I do get awful indigestion and the symptoms and have had the barium meal that showed issues. The somac works brilliantly though.I had to Doctor Google that.Do you notice any symptoms?
A friend's son has infusions for his Crohn's - wonder if they are immunoglobulin.
They are using it more and more. When Ms FM started with it, they had to write a case to justify it, as it was only supposed to be used if other (cheaper) treatments weren’t working. However I understand doctors are using it more as a first line treatment.I had to Doctor Google that.Do you notice any symptoms?

I believe it’s just called ageing.Someone here (Cove??) said that Somac caused memory issues when used long term.
For me Somac is a life sentence, so I was a tad concerned as I am prone to an absent mind at times
Gp said no. (full stop)...
Most 70 year olds are starting to get concerned with memory lapses wondering if it will lead to CRAFT.

I think that Mums passing (which was much more difficult than when MIL or Dad died) was the last trigger needed for a final expression of things I'd been experiencing for a few years.I get gastritis, have taken somac in the past but usually use gaviscon for flare ups. As terrible as it sounds, different people coming and going in my life has coincided with increases and decreases in symptoms.
Having dinner with my grandma always coincided with a gastritis attack, so I understand.I think that Mums passing (which was much more difficult than when MIL or Dad died) was the last trigger needed for a final expression of things I'd been experiencing for a few years.
I took Somac for a short while to prove to specialists I did not have reflux and instead had chest pain (and heart attacks). The hoops we must jump through.Somac is pantoprazole that prozac and I were mentioning earlier.
That's interesting. The only thing that consoled me when I woke during the night was that the pain was right sided so I knew it wasn't a heart attack or angina.I took Somac for a short while to prove to specialists I did not have reflux and instead had chest pain (and heart attacks). Waking at 2am with chest pain night after night is very disturbing. All behind me now thankfully. That's interesting. The only thing that consoled me when I woke during the night was that the pain was right sided so I knew it wasn't a heart attack or angina.
Time for a stiff drink.I am a tad off colour and have managed to link a whole basketful of discrete miscellaneous symptoms into a self diagnosis of impending doom.
Hypochondria central moi atm….![]()
Idiopathic left or right chest wall syndrome? That's interesting. The only thing that consoled me when I woke during the night was that the pain was right sided so I knew it wasn't a heart attack or angina.
