Bruise on the inside of the elbow about an inch from funny bone. Has been there 4-5 days. No idea how I got it and that is not an area you can easily bump? Golf? Have severe tendonitis on the outside of the elbow.

Too much beer drinking at the bar ? Repetitive motions :D I know silly very silly of me.

One of the side effects I forgot about from arranging airport assistance.... the couple of short hops we have in economy we've now lost our exit row. Doh.

Just on the bus to LHR atm. So much for disabled seating.. Not a single person got up. Standing now.

Finally got one, but not because anyone offered. Only because someone got up! At least there's champagne waiting on the other side :)

Maybe too much golf: Medial epicondylitis
the bit on outside is the more common Lateral epicondylitis. Many with the lateral also then develop the medial.
Or too much elbow wrestling for armrest during status runs?

The last time we took the D8 bus to Stratford we stood up for two 80+ citizens. Within 5 seconds two children jumped into our vacated seats and the two olds just smiled at us as they missed out on a seat we were offering.
We now go on the DLR as a first choice and Jubilee for going on the tube.

Will be good to see how today goes, a prelude to my upcoming South America trip. Today just a day trip (shopping!) to BCN, finishing off the last leg of an ex-BCN to SJO from a few weeks back.

I'm not sold on special assistance at all. BA Gold line promised me it was arranged, yet when I arrived told me it wasn't. Then wasted 30 minutes getting that arranged. It gets better though!

I was taken through with 2 other people who didn't have fast track, therefore lowest common denominator wins and I had to go normal security. The line was long, really long. They don't take you to the front, you have to wait in line as if you were going through normally. Really unimpressed and seriously considering just cancelling the rest (if they have even arranged it anyway).

I really hate the level of incompetence around. It's like they go "Yeah, whatever".

I know it's very #firstworldproblems and DYKWIA but why should I have to suffer at security because of the other people using assistance? Sorry all, rant over. Just a bit annoyed is all. What should would have taken 15 minutes even hobbling on crutches ended up taking 50 minutes.

Yes, but you made the effort to arrange assistance and they hadn't followed through - I'd be pretty p****d off with their performance as you would wonder if that's what it always is like.

With 10 flights coming up in the next 3 weeks I've asked them again to check if they have actually sorted it. But with the longer time it takes, is it worth it? Will I miss my 2 hour connection in MAD on Tuesday? Who knows...

I guess its an insight for those who have permanent disability. Must be hell for them.

Absolutely. It's bringing back ill memories from when my wife suffered a stroke a few years back, no one would ever get up to give her a seat on the train (had a walking stick) when she did eventually start going back into work 6 months later. It's disgusting.

Wow - that was quick. Just had a call from a BA manager who is coming over to see me in the F lounge. (I dropped over some feedback to cust relations, which I was going to follow up with a call on Monday to confirm everything was in place).

Quite funny though, he just called me "I can't find you" "Oh, well I'm in T3 F lounge...." "Ah....! Let me send my colleague in T3 over then"
