Hi All,

Got a newbie question just wanted to confirm if my understanding is correct.

For the Qantas oneworld Classic Flight Reward is the availability the same as the availability of the individual flight segments when searching on Qantas website for classic reward seats? Pretty much everyone says book the actual ticket over the phone but for planning I was going to just look at all the segments availability and tie them together when I call up.

The reason for asking is I notice that some of the individual tickets between cities cost 100K points by themselves does the Qantas Oneworld classic flight reward really allow you to get ~600k points worth of flights for 280k or am I missing something?

Thanks for the reply Steady. I've spent the last couple of years accumulating QFF so I was pleasantly surprised to see reasonable availability even with my bronze status... Now if only they got rid of those carrier charge fake taxes...

Definitely jump on board the proper thread, imho it's the most valuable collection of pages on AFF. But to answer one of your comments, you can't combine PNRs - you can't book them separately and then join together. You have to book all at once, or book the first and then progressively add to an itinerary as flights are released (costing a change fee each time).

Also it's 318k points for business now (280k was pre enhancements this year).

If you can see all the segments when you individually search them then have a go at doing a 'multi city' search. Put all the segments in, if theyre all available and you are within the oneworld aware far rules then it will automatically cap the points out at the number of points needed for the oneworld fare (depending on which class you go in).

If it doesn't cap out then you have broken one of the rules.

Welcome to AFF @stirlo.

The oneworld award can be good value with some limitations such as married segments. Those surcharges can be out of control.
