Given the current QF trajectory, if he was to rejoin i'm sure his experience at AN would be perfect for placing it in its tomb.

Perhaps he is re-joining Qantas??

Just a second-hand opinion (indeed, just an opinion) I know, but a good friend who worked a long time at TAA/Qantas told me some years ago that Toomey was almost universally despised by the staff when he was at Qantas.

That makes him perfect for Qantas

So he will fit right in then with the current team.

Toomey has no idea. He also ran some airline called Airlines PNG which suffered two fatal crashes. Didn't he go to Gulf Air before that? His track record in aviation is a trainwreck.

He would probably ruin Emirates or Singapore Airlines if you put him in charge.

He's The Undertaker, for running businesses and people to the ground.

Let's hope he takes this opportunity to retire before he puts a few more out of work.

I always like the way people resign 'effective immediately'.
