Smooth as silk flying today. Just what I needed after the stress of the last week or two. I handle stress really well, but the last couple of weeks have tested that. Thank you, Russkis... .

Credit where credit is due. The lamb looked a bit grey but was tender as. The curry sauce was divine. 2014 Leeuwin Estate Prelude (entry level) is very good.

Uneventful ride to DFW, but the Skybed is just looking soooo tired and feels very poky after Qsuites and EK J. It’s certainly had its day.

DFW Flagship Lounge. Typical arrival at Terminal D made even sweeter by my flight to MIA leaving from D.

My MIA bird was a B777-200 that had come in from AMS, hence being at Terminal D. Very handily at D21 which right next to the FL entry.

I was impressed with the J seat. It looks pretty new. The tray table slides down and towards you and folds out. Quite neat the way it is not totally put away, so good for drink and the typical AA warm nuts, for example.

There are two lidded receptacles on the side that would be excellent for phone, tablet, wallet, specs etc. on overnight flights.

Some of the smartest use of space I’ve seen. Beats QF IMO. Top marks.

I was in 1L.











The pasta was very plain, but at least the salad was more than just leaves. Just the addition of a few mini-tomatoes makes all the difference IMO. There are plenty of hard-working mini-tomato producers in Australia that I’m sure would love some steady QF business.
