It would appear from posts on other threads that QF have downgraded the domestic dinner offering, with the full tray offering being substituted for the below picture.

So now would be the perfect opportunity for VA to pounce and further enhance their inflight product!

Hope VA are keeping up with what the competition are doing! Is any rep from VA even on here reading anymore?

Has Qantas hired the (lack of) talent from Virgin catering???

If you read the comment under the photo, the poster mentions that the 'actually tasty' which is something VA have yet to master... the flexi wraps are generally absolute cr*p.

Whilst that is not acceptable on Qantas, I would not go as far as saying that it is worse then what's on VA.

I did read the comment, point being the size of the serving is not much different to a J cheese plate or even the pea pie, all are tasty but lacking in size and presentation, a bit like the QF offering, at least it's not a J meal! QF seem to be coming down to VA, rather than the opposite happening, it's all about cost!

A "Flexi cough"!

A LM "Flexi cough" actually! :D

Seriously, I wonder if Luke cares at all about how ordinary the product actually is that sports his name?

I think a catering issue would be the most likely explanation for the food offering in the picture above.

On my last flight with QF in late December they served the usual meal tray including a hot meal with a tiny dinner roll & chocolate.

Is this what happens when the opposition do not offer anything?

Why do it now? Or does it take 13 years for Qantas to make such a change?
Perhaps it is due to the current economic conditions. Perhaps Qantas is feeling a little more confident now with Tiger in trouble and Virgin showing no signs of shedding the LCC tag.

Just thought i'd quote this for the humour value.
Why is the truth funny? Surely you do not think just because they put business class in some aircraft they are now a full service airline? Far from it.

And also I received credit for flight on 13 January but no credit for flight on 18 January, 20 January and 25 January. So I need to chase these up now?

I didn't say they are now a full service airline but merely responded to you saying something far more assolute. You said showing NO signs of shedding the LCC tag. Business class, as you just highlighted is one of many signs they are transforming. I could name at least a dozen more signs of Virgin Australia doing things move away from the LCC they began as but to be honest i think you could too if you really wanted to.

We could argue to what extent that transformation is complete and sufficient but the sheer silliness of your starting position means you don't have a lot of room to move in that discussion.
