From MEL to Europe next June/July. What is the cheapest way?

Next year I plan to travel to Europe for Euro 2020 game in June/July.
I found this sale: Thai Air EARLY BIRD' 2020 DEALS ON SALE: THAILAND ASIA EUROPE

From MEL-Vienna, Rome-MEL around 1300$
Is this a good deal?

That's pretty standard. You should be able to do better.
It's hard to help without specific dates and a specific destination, however ...
I can find flights from Melbourne to Paris leaving on 10 June and returning on 7 July for $975 round trip.
That's with Thai, via Bangkok.
Not a bad flight - about 25 hours.
I suggest using a web site such as skyscanner.
