Well... somewhat OT, this one...

So my friend cancelled her wedding in a few month's time, and I've got SIN-SYD return tickets booked. I'm not sure how many people would've had similar experiences, but given similar situation, would you choose to travel or not? The cost isn't the issue here, but I'm more interested in what would be the right thing to do.

FYI, she also knows that I have a class N ticket (i.e. changes not permitted prior to departure, cancellation fee $200, and balance comes back as a credit rather than a refund), although nothing else has been booked. Not sure if this would affect the answer of the above question, but here you go anyway.

She cancelled not you, I say travel.

I don't see how it would impact her unless she is offering to cover the cost.

Also not sure I understand where the morality issue comes in, unless she paid for the ticket?

I would still do the trip and make a holiday out of it.... Similar situations have happened to me before and they have been better than well planned holidays...

Given her wedding has been cancelled, she prob needs a friend to hang out with at the moment, and if your flying from SIN to SYD for the wedding, chances are your a close friend.

Do the flight, enjoy yourself + if your both single.. who knows? :P

If you aren't the person she was being married to, then still come.

But if you get a second invite to her wedding I'd politely decline. :D
