Hi,
I recently visited to the united states in October for about 3 weeks on the VWP. I am planning to make it there again for christmas and new years (10 days). I will be catching up with friends and want to start the next year on a good note since its been a horrid year from me this year :(

From what i have heard that if you're visiting frequently (considering mine is just after a month and a half), you can be questioned about the visit and possibly have the entry rejected by the immigration official. Has anyone in this forum experienced this?

Also what do you think i should carry along with me to prove that the visit is mainly for tourism purposes.. i just want to be in new york on new years eve. Would having on me a letter from the employee, utility bills etc help?

thanks in advance for your feedback.

Welcome to AFF frequentflyer1980 :D

There should be no need to carry any documentation if you are on a liesure/holiday trip - just tell them (if asked) that you "just want to be in new york on new years eve".

As for regular visits, you need to have departed North America between visits. Was the green I94w stub removed from your passport when you last departed North America? If so all should be good ...

Other than that do you have a stamp in you passport from a non North American immigration/customs agency dated subsequent to the date of arrival into the USA?

Should not be a problem if you have a return ticket and ESTA...

If you are concerned take a print out of your bank statement and a payslip to prove employment in Aus

they WANT you there... spending AUD not earning USD..

And two trips in that time frame is not very frequent.. some people almost commute on the Aus-LAX route!

Thanks for the reply Serfty.

yes i did depart and returned back to Australia and yeah they did remove the green card that was attached to my passport.

Serfty, i visited Canada during my stay in the united states so there is a stamp by the canadian immigration as well. I however returned to the united states and then flew back to Australia

A Canadian stamp is no use in this context, both USA and Canada are in North America.

I once spent about 6 months doing cycles of 2 weeks in US and 2 weeks in Aus. All US entries under VWP I94W. I was never questions and each time was stamped for a fresh 90 day validity.
