free hotel with transit on emirates with QFF award?

hi guys,
tried looking around for the answer to this but haven't had much success

if i book a EK F award through QFF that involves an overnight transit en route to Europe from Aus am i entitled to a free hotel?

You should be (unless people with more recent experience know otherwise).

A couple of years ago, me +1 had a 9hr layover from QF1 to EK flight to BCN (all J award booked through QF). We had the option to select the hotel stay online but reading other threads here decided to just go to F lounge.

Yes you are eligible for Dubai connect. It should appear on Manage My Booking for you to request.
