I’ve generally had some sort of “upgrade” as Gold.

I should not have listened to the negative nellies on this thread and listened to you then!

Not that I frequent Accor properties that often but has been been a nice bonus!

I was going to wait it out until Friday, but ended up submitting the online query on Monday evening. This morning I had an email from Kathleen saying the upgrade would be done by Friday. I checked after receiving her email and it had been done. Not sure if it would have been upgraded without my request or not.

I think I will have to follow your path of action. I received the confirmation email saying upgrade will happen, but still no upgrade receive.

How long do they gift you the ALL gold for?

Mine literally came through today and expires on 31st January 2023. Just had 5 nights on the Gold Coast , booked through Qantas and it looks to me like there will be no points from that stay as the T & C's say book direct with ALL.
Am I wrong ?

I just renewed my Accor ALL Silver account for 12 months (from July 2st). I am also wondering if this Gold offer will be an additional year or just an upgrade from Silver to Gold for my existing year? The lack of duration for the promotion might be due to existing and new clients being targeted?

I reckon just your existing year. Mine came through today and expires 31st January 2023 when my renewal is due. When they ring me next year I'm going to ask for the GOLD to be renewed or tell them I'll cancel and join through Qantas to get the 15,000 QFF points etc and see what they say.
Will not be easy to keep as I like IHG too.

I’m not planning on renewing, so I wonder what hoops I will need to go through to get this pushed out to at least get 12 months of Gold?

For another data point, Accor Plus via Amex upgraded to Gold today. Expiry date of August 2023 which matches the Accor Plus membership.

well that sort of sucks! I would have been better applying for a brand new accor account and getting 12 months, rather than just a couple of months linked to my accor plus. At least when the accor plus ended i would have continued to receive benefits… arguably more useful than the accor plus.

I think you're worrying for nothing. Accor membership will continue on until the end of the following year. For example, my Plus year ends at the end of August. Around May I achieved gold via spend. Initially it showed gold ending August this year (same as my plus). Now that it's September it shows gold until August 2023.

I have been upgraded to Gold in the last few hours. I had not approached Accor chasing the upgrade.
