At 0146 this morning my phone rang. Pity it was in my car and I missed the call. Funny, I almost never leave my phone behind.

At 0645 this morning, I climbed into my car to see a missed call from thewinchester and a message awaiting in my message bank, which I quickly retrieved. I was aghast to hear thewinchester start the message with "this is urgent...."

thewinchester had noticed on another social media that an ex AFF member - bossreggie was in dire straits - not the band, but a medical condition, seemingly unable to speak, he was tweeting that help was needed. One can guess it was a nut reaction. thewinchester took it upon himself to try and help by calling people (like myself) who he knew had bossreggie's mobile number - this was a dire emergency, which from past experience has taken bossreggie to the brink a couple of times.

As it turned out, I believe that medical assistance arrived and bossreggie off to hospital from his hotel somewhere in Canberra. (Please correct me if I am wrong here)

thewinchester - Michael - ​KUDOS to you my friend, and I am sure a certain AFF ex member would want to say the same. You are a legend.

If I could ask everyone to give you a round of applause, I would.

You show a spirit that nourishes and sustains this community, and it is great to see you giving credit where credit is due.
Just goes to show that despite all the rigorous discussion that goes on, people do care about each other.

Wow. It's always good to hear about an airline helping out a passenger when needed.

In my short time here it's even more it's even better when one AFF member has confidence in another to ask for help when needed and it is delivered. Nicely done.
