Hi All,

I was just wondering if it was possible to fly on CX from sydney to HK using Qantas classic rewards, since it says 'Qantas and partner classic awards'.

Thanks for your help everyone!

yes, you can. but you cannot book on-line. You will need to call Qantas and do the booking over the phone and will be charged 2500 for the privilege.

Points required from from the Partner Classic Award table.

CX Seats are now available on the Qantas Award Booking, no need for the phone call.

I can confirm what ksthommo says, because I just booked one online today for Easter in U.

Note that awards on CX are "Partner Awards" and are charged at a higher rate than "Qantas" awards.

e.g. one 1 (0-600 miles) is 10K rather than 8K.

I was doing a search this morning for MEL-LAX and was offered via HKG on CX. (48K points on QF direct or 75K via HKG, CX Business was available as well for 139K)

One more thing is that a transit from QF to CX will trigger another "trip".
