I'm on the VS to LHR today, also Gold and have been told that as it is not a VS owned/operated lounge at SYD I have no access. Will have to wait until HKG :-(

Just a quick update, flew on Monday VS to LHR and when I checked in I was given a Lounge invite card. Apparently thee rules changed two weeks ago an Velocity Gold/Plat members now have access to the Koru lounge on VS flights :)

That's quite an improvement and makes me consider VS for future flights.

Thats good news, the loops and holes in lounge access with VA are getting attention!

It was good news particularly as I had problems trying to use the Club House in Johannesburg recently - Manager tried to tell me I couldnt and VA only had access to LHR and HKG lounges. After much tooing and froing (including showing the velocity website at which point she told me VA were guilty of false advertising by saying members could use her lounge??) she relectantly conceded and let me in. Sent a complaint to VS which was redirected to the directors offices, they confirmed I was correct apologised and offered a comp upgrade one way LHR - SYD.

Great news, thanks guys for your replies. I have a 4 hour connection in Syd on Sat perfect timing Virgin
