Hi
We are flying from JFK to Rio De Janiero next July on AA in business class. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest which side of the aircraft to sit on for the best view of Rio ?
thanks

Without knowing the flight path, how busy the airport is that day and the flying conditions it is very hard to say.

Look on google maps. If the plane is going south from JFK to RIO then it easily hits the airport before the centre of rio or christ the redeemer.

However if it the plane did a loop, lowered its altitude, came from the sea and headed north to the airport then it would be possible to get a view of the city.

The way the runways are pointed it looks like plans land from the west and take to the east. Check it out on google maps, you can see a plane landing and it's coming from the west.
