From the SMH 6 June 2009:
Flyers' ire: plane passengers' biggest complaints

Late planes, reclining seats and chatty neighbours are among passengers' top gripes, writes Chris Vedelago.
Flight delays and the annoying habits of fellow passengers have topped a list of the biggest complaints Australians have about domestic and international air travel, according to a new poll.

So we don't complain about food any more. The good old reclining seat is still there - that won't go away. If you are worried about being trapped in your seat by a sleeping passenger get the aisle seat - that's why I do it. Overweight passengers... hmmmm...
I must say I rarely get the "havachat" passengers any more.

Chances are though, if you're worried about being trapped in your seat by a sleeping passenger, and get the aisle seat, you'll have the passenger that goes to the toilet 50 times through the flight. And if you're worried you'll get him and get a window seat, you'll have the sleeping passenger that you can't get past.

There's no way to win.... unless you fly First ;)

Or have a blocked seat next to you :)

Just wait till you can use mobile phones on planes. I predict that will shoot straight to the top of the biggest gripe list :)

Will it be the LCC's that come to the rescue, banning mobile phone usage on board, or will they be the ones to introduce them though, that is the question.

Would anyone at an airline realise that passengers like to escape the mobile phone?

You just love stirring the pot don't you? ;)

My prediction will be line ball between mobile phones and recliners on the top of the biggest gripe list....
