Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Thanks for your feedback. We're investigating the message you received for the OPSM offer; we'll ensure that any activation attempts are registered despite any message members receive. The "one Coles offer" means that if you've received more than one Coles offer you can only use one of the Coles offers to qualify towards the magazine subscription. We accept your feedback that it could have been worded better. The revised wording for the double points offer is now live (you may have to refresh your browser to see it).

Thanks for getting back to me. The new wording on the double points offer has appeared in the main offers section of my account. Thanks for clarifying the magazine offer wording. I know I've reported problems with the "offers" section of flybuys accounts but I would still like to thank flybuys for including this section. It makes it really easy most of the time to check what the current offers are and whether they have been activated. It is much better than the Everyday Rewards system. The often say in my EDR offers section that I have no offers when I know I have current email offers. There is also no permanent way to know if the offers have been activated in the Everyday Rewards system either.

Just received a new spend $xx for 4 weeks for $50 or 10k points. My $xx is $80 so will be passing again.

Last week I bought a JB Hifi $100 from Coles but didn't swipe the Fly Buys as historically no points appear to be given to you.

Looking at the receipt afterwards it said, "If you'd used a Fly Buys card you would have earned Fly Buys points." Not sure if it is just a generic response to non-use but hope it signals a change.

I bought a Coles Myer card at the same store this week and the receipt did not contain the message (didn't swipe FB as I had a discussion about whether I was allowed to do transaction).

Anyone else come across this recently?

RAM, if you didn't buy a lot of items, and you noticed whilst still in the shop, it's not outside the realm of possibility to cancel the sale and start again and use the flybuys card.

You can get flybuys points on non Coles giftcards. I found this out by accident when I bought a prepaid Visa card as part of another promotion.

Thanks for the info, but no I had showed the receipt into my pocket as was running late for a meeting. That night when I pulled it out to toss into the recycling I checked the balance left on the gift card and noticed the message below it.

YES!

All but one in the family are DVD addicts, and JB Hifi gift cards via Coles using the 5% off Coles cards are becoming a staple.

BTW - that day JB Hifi had a buy 2 get a 3rd free deal going for TV series AND a get 20% off all DVD purchases. I thought I'd done pretty well with the triple play and the fact that they'd just marked down a TV series from 32.99 to 19.99 for 3 years of it.

The points would have made it a Win-Win-Win-Win-Win win.

Triple points for buying a 1Kg bag of sweet pink onions. Wow wee - I can hardly wait!

I got this offer as well. I've heard of white onions and I use brown onions with my cooking but I have no idea what pink onions are.
Much less lingering smell.

Got the offer as well, at the bottom of the email telling me how much I can save this week shopping at Coles.

Again a somewhat unclear offer.

How did you all interpret it:

A) Triple points for the entire bill; or

B) Triple points for the cost of 1kg of onions?

I would hope A but expect it is B - so binned the email.

I interpreted offer as B so worth next to nothing ...... unless of course the pink onions are very expensive in which case I wouldn't be buying them anyway.

I would guess it applies to the onions only. The terms and conditions weren't the best but better than some. I haven't had the email yet, I only saw it in my account.

Received an offer for 500 points with the purchase of any new Cadbury Marvellous Creations range of chocolate. Also 400 points with the purchase of Sealord's hoki frozen fish fillets.

Looks like there were/are lots of product specific targeted promotions recently...

I got the chocolate one, too, and something else that I can't remember. I did shop at coles this week, but didn't purchase any targeted products. Got a 1000pts/$70 spend docket deal which I may or may not use - depends on WW targeted spend deal next time I need to shop.

I got an offer for specific Marvellous Creations products as well. As mentioned in previous posts the offer is for 500 points. The offer includes two specific flavours of 45gram bars. On Wednesday, Coles is starting a special on some of the Marvellous Creations 45gm products, including the two mentioned in my offer. The new catalogue price is 99 cents for the 45gm bars. I'll be buying one of the 45gm bars and taking up the offer on Wednesday. The 500 points, worth $2.50 will pay for my chocolate and give me a nice little profit on the offer. It's a pity that it's a one use only offer.

I just received the next set of vouchers. The standard triple points week alternates with spend $90 for 1000 points. Both spend and reward have increased from last times $70 / 500 points. Will only be able to hit that occasionally.
