VPS there are two easy ways to improve your offers that are open to most (at least one is).
- Look at the running total (if at a full service checkout) or roughly work it out as you load the items on the conveyor - and do not spend more than $51 or $52 as a single amount. Ask the operator to pay for the low $50 amount, and separately put the rest of your items through. Typically we use self-service so we are not so obviously holding people up. BTW - Coles, WW often do this as many people do their own shopping as well as for an elderly/disabled or these days Covid-19 impacted friend/family. You will not get challenged by the checkout operator for doing this. JUST make sure you remember to use your FB card(s) for the rest of the order.
- If you are not living alone, or have living relatives who don't bother about FB points, or points in general - then you open a completely new account complete with free QFF account (via link from FB website) in another name. Use that 2nd account for the rest of your weekly spend - that way your spending hurdles do not jump so much.
In our case - all three of our children, from very young, realised the value of points and insisted we open an account for each of them. Nearly cried when their first redemption was a 'Finding Nemo' dvd...
This week we've received an offer on all accounts (PPPPPP) for 10K points on 4 wks of $50 spend. Two also have an expiring offer today and another offer starting today for 4 days - spend $50 once & get 2K points. Needless to say (but I will) - we're off to do the Election day shop - tonight. For $200 shopping for those 2 accounts spread over 5 weekends we should get 14K points (without any further offers of $2k or X00 points on products etc), 35% return.
Better half, worked out how to get 16 'ovenware' points on a $51 shop last weekend to finally get enough for something wanted, then decided that another item looked worthwhile - spent $29 on Sunday for 14 'ovenware' points. Gamed the catalogue for products we use that were on special that gave bonus 'ovenware points'.
Just a shame the gaming didn't begin two months earlier
PS: PPPPPP = 'Proper planning prevents p... poor performance'
