I've only recently bothered with my own FB membership. For years, I'd just been scanning my son's old card, and was happy for him to collect whatever he got out of it. But then along came the Velocity tie-in......

The offer I received via the app today, and a subsequent e-mail, was for four weekly shops of $80 (or more), with a choice of $50 off, or 10,000 points. I chose the latter, but with my spending patterns these days it's more likely that I won't hit any of the weekly targets, let alone all four. Gone are the days when I'd do a big weekly or fortnightly shop. Nowadays I tend to swing past the shops and grab what I need when it's needed.

My household jusr also received $80 x 4 from my acc ( done $50 x 3 last time ) and my partner $50 x 4 . Planning to get them both .

Just received targeted email spend $60 over 4 weeks for 10,000 points.
No brainer, great offer that will be fully utilised.
Much better than than previous campaigns where the spend threshold jumped to $130 per week.

looking forward to building up that Flybys balance to redeem at the Flybys travel portal for Hotel Accommodation or redeeming off Qantas flights.

We got $50*4 for 10,000 points which is eminently manageable for a 2 person household.

Much better than the last time which I think was $130*4.

I boycotted the last lot of spend x for y 4 week offers. Is that why I haven't received an offer this time around?

probably not - we haven't used an offer for months - they closed our local BiLo to build a full service Coles and we've not been able to do a 4 week spend for months

I only think the best value of Flybuy is to either transfer to Velocity or Ethiad Miles , recently done transfer to Velocity with their 15% Bonus ??

Speaking for myself I have absolutely zero interest in VA or EY, even with their current bonuses and status credits on offer. I Left VA 5 years ago and haven't looked back since.

What I would say is, what makes Flybys a good loyalty program over the competition, is the choice which it allows for. Those attached to VA or EY can have their Flyby's points converted over to frequent flyer points in their respective program, whilst those attached to QF can use their Flybys points for redemptions off hotels or flights with any airline including QF and other One World airlines.

My viewpoint is very subjective and many will disagree, but it's what works for me at the end of the day.

Received 4 x $90 spend 'in one transaction' for 6,000 points - about 40% above normal weekly spend let alone in one transaction...

My FlyBuys work very well towards my SQ redemptions. ;)

Was that a flybuys offer or a Woolworths reward offer?

A FB offer for one account, the others got 10,000 points for varying amounts up to $210 or more in one transaction each week for 4 weeks. Wondered why that account was unloved. But it has been getting bonus FB points for min 30l AND > $45 spend on petrol a couple of times so maybe that's why.
