Don't laugh but I'm looking at flights from Brisbane to either Los Angeles or to San Fran return with Fiji airlines.
My questions are as follows;

  1. Anyone tried this route with Fiji Airways?
  2. Your experience good/bad or otherwise?
  3. The flights stop at Fiji en route of course - is it possible to leave the terminal to check the place out for a few hours?
  4. Some of the second legs to the US are with Alaska Airlines - once again any feedback on this leg?
  5. Correct to assume that I can still get points/credits for these outward bound and return legs?
  6. Correct to assume I cannot use my existing QFF points to book any of this trip?
  7. My lounge access entitlements along the way ? I have Qantas Gold and Plat Amex access

regards

Seat Son flew from LAX-SYD on FJ in early 2022 so COVID rules were still pretty strong. He bid for and won an upgrade to J for this flight. He said it was great - although he has not enjoyed many J flights in his lifetime as yet. He loved the friendly and personal service, and said the aircraft was comfortable and well appointed. He got lounge access in Nadi as a result of the upgrade. He was not able to leave the airport at that time, so was really glad for the lounge.
