Looking at flights Brisbane to Hong Kong on 10th December, 2 adults, 2 children. Wondering if it is a bit early but we have:

Singapore Airlines (1 Stop) $2,962
Philippine Airlines (1 Stop) $3,867
Qantas via Sydney $5,647!!!!!
Cathay direct $6,145

Is it a case of waiting for more airlines, cathay included to increase capacity and release fares?

thanks all!

As a general rule...the absolute peak prices of the year are in the 10 - 24 Dec date range...what do prices look like a couple of days earlier?

You need to go back to 24th Nov with Philippine airlines at 2k to improve on the $3k with Singapore airlines. Will have to keep watching 1st-9th to see if anything better opens up.
