SIN>WSI flights don’t appear to be bookable yet either? WSI not a destination option on the SQ website

Edit: coming this afternoon

We're booked on the inaugural ex WSI, figured we'd take a short break in Singapore that week.

Fares went up around midday and no issues booking. 915 return on a Lite fare was a bloody good deal, especially by SQ's recent pricing standards. Prices for connecting legs into HKG etc were also well priced.

Times are great for the connections into Asia and sub-continent, and the day flight on the return is a welcome change from the endless selection of overnight flights.

Assuming that petrol is available to fill up said flights, looking forward to at least testing out the new airport and schedule, and seeing if Badgerys works better for us than Mascot.

From a very small sample size search, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for pricing from WSI vs SYD onto say Europe. Initially I thought it was about $100 discount ex WSI on both whY and J (CDG). But then the gap was quite small for LON. FCO looked significantly cheaper but FRA significantly more…🤷‍♂️ (for the random data I searched).

Unfortunately, ITA Matrix, Google Flights nor Skyscanner have yet come the party to include “WSI”, so I couldn’t do a broader search.

But at least SQ is showing pricing from both SYD and WSI in the one search and it looks like it will let you open jaw out of one and back to another - if there’s a compelling price or other reason to do so.

The timing of flights into WSI only suits Sydneysiders due to very late arrival time. I wonder how long it will last and what the load factor will be considering this factor.

Looks like for the Xmas period that it's $100~$400 cheaper to open jaw (?)
