Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone has used or can explain to me the new Flight Pass offered by Opiniontown for Air Asia X???

I want to know whether I am able to actually be able to book the flight I want - not what they place me on.

There is not a whole heap of info on their website.

Thanks.

I checked this out when they first launched and didn't really see the value in it. Could work out well for say a family doing a group trip to and around asia, but in general terms I think you're better off just buying the flights in advance as you think you'll need them.

Saw the email but couldn't find any way of actually seeing the $ cost involved nor the actual flexibility.

Am also still waiting for air Asia to refund taxes from a trip claimed 90 days ago and accepted as valid

I don't suppose anyone has had any personal experience with this product since this thread was started?

This product looks like a good way of avoiding the crazy super high airfares out of Australia around Christmas time. The website info suggests it is available for any flight but surely there's a catch. I don't want to be caught out where after I buy the product they tell me that the flight pass coupons are only valid on the lower fare buckets and not on any available seat on the plane. Or maybe I am over complicating things. I tend to be wary when it looks too good to be true.

My only experience is that D7 cold called me on my mobile to flog it  so I am automatically boycotting it (I refuse to use any product or service when they solicit uninvited).

Looked at the Flight Pass option but couldn't see the value in it especially when fares intra-Asia can be very very cheap.

I have used OT for upgrades to business class and think it is very well worth it, especially with angle flat seats. To me, a flat seat is the most important thing on a plane. So if I could have a flat seat every time and nothing else, I'd take it.

So good pricing but not much better than their sale prices ex-Sydney which typically range A$200-250, and a relatively short window (travel period) in which to use the flights

Got a call from Intl number (would normally reject) but had just got home and was quite so answered.

Think they were trying to sell me these but I said not interested not great value.

He then went on and said they now have Upgrade Passes as well.

Got a quote for Syd-Kul vv for 4pass/1yr validity for $178/pass.

Sit in your account and 'supposedly' have priority over the regular bid upgrades. If you are rejected for use and they expire - auto roll for 3 months.

Might be interesting for regular users, but the lack of guarantee and uncertainty about roll if unable to use makes me baulk at it.

Apparently if you call Option town they can sell them to you :Harry was my guys pseudonyn

These calls seem to come from Dallas - they have been spamming my phone for a while. I've blocked their number
