Dear all especially Etihad Help
I was on EY 52 GVA -AUH last Friday night . Long story short we were deplaned and delayed about 20 hours.
Travel Insurance need a letter from the airline stating reason for delay and new flight times etc. Any particular email I should aim my request to or is Etihad Help able to help.
Also is it normal for the Insurance to request such a letter and not just accept boarding passes.

Thanks in advance for the help:)

I believe they can/do. Some travel insurance policies have riders that exclude coverage of accommodation etc if delay due to airline (including mechanical), but will cover for weather, ATC etc. Once had a claim denied because my letter from QF said "delay to due to mechanical fault". Any excuse to get out of it. Hope your policy is better.
