Flight Credits Class Action

It’s beyond confusing that’s for sure

Seeing I paid for someone else’s fares and I got an SMS (personally) and email (with his name on it)

Now having left halfway through it, the link won’t work a second time and the promised new log on has not got provided

Suggest everyone reads the full FAQ before posting here, it's a comprehensive page that really explains the whole thing. It's not confusing.

Essentially the class action says Qantas should've been refunding from the get go when THEY cancelled a service

35 individual flights for me, another reason why fly direct when you can connect is the best approach... That and you can't fly direct between CBR and DRW year round...

Got email and SMS, remember QANTAS cancelling/changing some flights way back whenever. but not being "out of pocket" so to speak...

Guess I will sign up.

Thanks for the summary. This gets into the reason I deleted the email to start.
My big 4 person overseas trip in July 2020.- As a good accolade of this forum. I just kept accepting the flight changes when they came in. 'Oh you've changed my flight, ok no worries'. Just accepted it knowing I won't be flying regardless.
Then when they finally cancelled, my response was 'no worries, I'll take the refund', and it came in .
So yeah, I got the refund from the get go, so to speak. Sure a few flight changes, but that was due to uncertainty.

I compare to people who cancel flights at the first change and got screwed. They deserve something.
Me? I played the airline game and waited for them to cancel. Do I deserve $50? I think not.

Has anyone checked the flights they list to see if you had a matching booking for the departure date that is shown?

I have a couple I don't recognise but could have been part of a more complex multi booking.

I got the SMS and initially thought it was just a phishing attempt. No email that I can see with further details. I don't recall any instances that would make me eligible - unless there were work bookings back then, which I would have assumed work's travel agent (FCM at the time I think) managed. Maybe my former employer will pocket my $50...

Mine was the (cancelled) Rockfords tour in Adl - had completely forgotten about it to be honest

SYD+1 received the SMS earlier today. A couple flights that we’re pretty we actually got a refund but not the trip we did get a credit…

Nothing for me so far.

Email and text received today.

I think I had some GVs I mightn’t have used or been able to use - not a lot of money but wouldn’t say no to some recompense

I just received the SMS and email. I also thought it was some phishing exercise, so headed to AFF to check. Will have a look at it later, I’m sure I had some flights, but it is long forgotten.

Got the text message Thu, got the email this morning. Mrs Pineapple got the email today, but no text.

Three flights listed under my name, all of which I was able to marry up with a ticket, in one case booked for Mrs Pineapple.

One of them showed the second flight in the itinerary as the first flight. Routing was BNE-SYD-MEL-BNE, which was a visit to SYD with a DSC quirk on the return, which was probably revised to direct SYD-BNE. So in the listing the "initial flight" was the first cancelled flight in the itinerary.
