Today I've received an email and SMS from Echolaw:
"Echo Law is pleased to confirm that, on 13 March 2026, the parties reached an agreement to settle the class action for a sum of $105 million. The settlement agreement is subject to Court approval and is made with no admission of liability.

To participate in the proposed settlement, Group Members must register by 4pm (AEST) on 2 October 2026. It does not cost any money to register to participate in the proposed settlement and you will never be 'out of pocket' as a result of participating in this class action."

Federal court

I'm assuming lots of AFFers have received this. Has anybody signed up? Is it worth it or should I just ignore it?
I got my cancelled flights refunded.

Interesting. I still have a small COVID flight credit sitting there with QF because it’s pretty hard to be bothered calling for it. I have not received this notice. I’ll look into it as it appears I would be eligible.

I had a points + pay booking made in that period which was cancelled. Qantas never sent me anything beyond the "your flight is cancelled" email.
When I followed up, they refunded the points and ~40% of the cash. Never got a full refund, or any sort of credit.
