Insanely addictive game this - even more so now there's variety with the three airfields.

Managed 292 on the original one, needed a fair bit of luck to get through! They come in waves every 40 planes or so, once you can make it through one wave you can start making it through more and more.

Have you noticed the 'Fast Forward' button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen? It helps get through those first few waves of planes when you mind is still running from the previous game.

I think you need to update your app, there are now 4 airfields.

I use that all the time. Increased my top score on the Royal Flying Doctor Service map to 167. I'm not so good on the original map.

I may or may not have wasted hour after hour on this game :)

Greta things happening at Flight Control. There is a high definition version for the iPad. Many more airfields of which one can be used with 3D glasses.

Here's a screen shot of one of the new scenarios complete with wind sock to which the player responds by changing the active runway.

That looks awesome, though technically it’s not “HD”, even though many developers seem to call it that.

I was wondering how well it’d play, I really hope someone with an iPad, Flight Control and 3D glasses turns up to OzFest. Would love to see that in action :p

I've been playing this on the ipad but can only manage a score in the 30s :(. Clearly I am doing something horribly wrong!

HOW do you screen dump from the iPod?

Mr!

Click both the power switch (at the top) and the home button at the same time. The screen will sort of glow and the picture will end up in your pictures folder. You can then email it on or transfer it via a computer.

Initially I had the same issues. One night I played for about an hour and got a couple hundred though, so it can be done, you just need to get into it.

There are quite a few tips earlier in this thread. I think the main thing is to shorten all of the flight paths and get them onto the ground asap.

Haven't got an iPad yet but here's my high score on the iPhone - 1095 = Shuttle Pilot status. Could I exchange them for SC points???? lol :)

I believe Flight Control was developed by an Australian company - apologies if I'm wrong.

Also, a couple of i<everything> developers frequent this site ... so I am wondering, was the application created by an AFF'er or their company?

Should I ask how long it took to amass such a score?

My high score was 347, but on the Royal Flying Doctor Service map. Other maps are substantially less.

I played it over 3 sessions, approx 30-45 min each... was quietly going well then hubby came in chatting and I lost my concentration... ahh just another score to beat! :)

It takes nerves of steel to be an air traffic controller. Think you have the right stuff? Register with Intel AppUp(SM) center, get the Flight Control HD app FREE. New registrants only, available through 5/21/11 or while supplies last. Find out how

Flight Control HD is available for free for Intel machines running Windows... AppUp aimed at Netbooks, but it should run fine on any PC.
