Hi

I'm a journalist with SBS World News and am working on a story about flight check-in ID requirements, especially international ones.

I'd like to speak with an aviation security specialist/analyst on the specifics of this process and possible breaches for a report.

If you can help please email me: [email protected] ([-]I can't post the proper email because I've only just joined the forum.[/-])

Fixed the email for you, hopefully you'll get some responses.

I know that prior to a year or so ago, there was nothing illegal about having a mismatching ID/ticket for domestic flights, but that was changed. That said, you can still use your Qantas Card as ID instead of proper Photo ID when travelling domestically with Qantas.

I've always had a matching passport (to the name on the ticket) for international adventures.
