It's funny how a story like this seems to get more attention than it really deserves. You'd almost think someone just made it all up; I mean, who's going to check that it's real?

I've seen the story republished by some news services - now I'm confused whether it's $650,000 or GBP 650,000, because both have appeared.


The irony here is how can some FA working for a Gulf airline committing sordid acts (so to speak) simply be dismissed and deported, yet we have other FAs not engaged as such who can't escape and/or have their wages withheld, and then there are tourists who get caught doing such things who are imprisoned for months or years before deportation...... I was expecting to read that the FA was charged and/or imprisoned and their wages frozen (though probably admittedly dwarfed by the sidecar income).
