With the webinar on tomorrow night I thought I would start a thread for any questions that may arise both before and during the webinar. Anything not answered during the broadcast will be followed up here.

As those who attended the Webinar last night will know, we had some "technical problems" and the Webinar had to be re-scheduled to Tuesday 19 August at 8pm.

For all those who had purchased the Guide and received the invitation to the Webinar - you will already have received an invite to the re-scheduled Webinar. Please register to confirm your place.

Apologies again for the inconvenience.

PS. If you haven't yet purchased the Guide, you can still purchase the Guide and attend the (now re-scheduled) Webinar for free!

Hi Clifford,

I left a few questions in the Webinar well prior to your departure but I believe there must have been a time delay in the connection.

You mentioned CostCo sell Hyatt vouchers in USA. How can we buy these from Australia? Do you know how to purchase the free night Hyatt certificates and use them locally in Sydney?

Thanks for an informative session!

The Webinar was actually conducted by markis10. I have asked him to respond to your question.

They are a bit like Aldi's in that they do limited time specials on these from time to time and when they do you have to hunt down which store has stock. I am not aware if they have ever been for sale in Australia so it will be hard locally to get them, I will however try to find out.

any hints/ tips for cross matching status across chains a la airline status?

Good question, a lot of the chains have cut back on status matches (apart from Best Western as mentioned last night) and replaced it with challenges instead.

You can keep tabs on who does what and when it's working here:

Using the S26 Wi-Fi Smart Plug you can easily convert your existing appliances into smart devices to be controlled remotely with your phone.

Takes just minutes to setup!

Thanks Mark for conducting another great webinar. All those who purchased the eBook should have already received a link to view the recording. (If not, please PM me and I'll investigate.)

For those that want to get a sample of what was on offer, you can view part of the Webinar HERE.

One of the questions asked in the Webinar was about the Best Western car hire discounts and if they were better than what might be on offer locally. Apologies for the person who asked for not getting back to you sooner but it would appear to be a case of yes sometimes.

I had a look at Canberra in relation to another thread and Avis was par with Qantas using the Best Western CDP, however using Budget there was a $10 saving or around 12% compared to what both Qantas and Virgins car search engines were showing.
