What about *G access to lounge ? A guest is possible ?
According to SQ Gold Benefits: (My bolding emphasis)

A guest may enter the Star Alliance Gold lounge only if he/she is accompanied
by a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member and departs on a Star Alliance flight, but
not necessarily the same flight as the KrisFlyer Elite Gold member.

If the guests aren't travelling on SQ or another *A then it probably isn't going to happen.

Save the hassle and buy some drinks in one of the bars.

Homer, allow me to add my 2 cents. As JohnK stated, quite a few people point out the same problem - too wide seat with less reclining.

I have only flown SQ in J (A380) once, but I was advised before the flight that just after take off make the seat into bed. It really worked for me. The seat/bed was wide and long enough for me to do basic stretching time to time, which helped me with my physical condition a lot. It is also very easy to turn back into seat, so you can try which is the most comfortable for you.

I really hope you wold enjoy your first experience with SQ as much as I did.

The problem is that once you experience SQ's premium product, it can be quite hard to go back ;)

The other advice is to make use of the cushions provided - one leather that just sits on seat to reduce it's width, the regular pillow provided and the sleeping pillow that is tucked behind the seat. Very easy to move these about for optimum comfort (sometimes I've even used to rest foot on) ,probably easier than fiddling with electronics.

Please let us know the answer. My understanding is that you will both need SQ J boarding passes.

So I spoke to a rep at the DJ platinum contact centre last week and he agreed that the language used on the DJ website wasn't completely clear - he couldn't say for certain whether my guest would also need to be flying SQ that day. But he kindly offered to telephone the SQ lounge and call me back, which he did about 20 minutes later. According to the agent, the person he spoke to at SQ advised that my guest should have an SQ boarding pass as well but, so long as lounge capacity wasn't an issue, they would normally just allow the guest in even without one of their boarding passes. Of course this is the opinion of just one person that I can't identify and there have been numerous stories on this forum over the years about inflexibility or misinterpretation of lounge access rules by the dreaded "lounge dragons" so I'm not getting my hopes up. I'll just advise my friend that he might get in, or he might not, and we'll see what happens on the day.

Latest update from SK Lounge in T3 is that Duval Leroy Champagne now readily available on self serve basis along with other wines in bar area.

Well it was between 11pm and midnight on Sun night - in fact 1 opened and 1 unopened bottle on ice.

No longer do you need to go seek out lounge staff to get glass of champers.
