I am ticking off a bucket list item with a albeit very short first class trip from SYD to AKL on Emirates (codeshare with QF so I got status credits). Just got made redundant and it coincides with my birthday.
Can I check-in earlier than the usual 3 hours? I wanted to try both Qantas First and Emirates lounges.

Re: First time flyer on codeshare

In SYD there is all day check-in I think! Anyway you can check in online and if only taking carry-on checking in online is sufficient.

The EK A380 service to AKL isn't around much longer.

Do EK have all day check in? I thought that was QF only. But HLO and OLCI should be the solution

Re: First time flyer on codeshare

I'd be interested also to know whether if flying EK from SYD, the all-day check-in is possible? We are leaving at 6.50pm on EK to BKK in F and would like to get to the QF F lounge as early as possible to possibly snatch a spa treatment as I believe these cannot be pre-booked on EK in F (only QF F metal passengers).

When I traveled from SYD on EK to BKK in J class in Jan this year check in only opened 3 hours before the flight. Early check in was not possible at all. I arrived early and was very disappointed.
