Hi there,

I just noticed that I managed to swap my wifes first and last name for an upcoming trip.

Now I thought this wouldn't be an issue since it's a Classic Flight reward, however it is a JQ Flight and according to the QF Hotline this makes it impossible to change the name, it would have to be cancelled and re-booked (not an option unfortunately).

I think what I am asking is, how likely is this to cause issues? It's a direct flight and we should be able to check in online.

Thanks for any advice!

Classic Flight Rewards^ are currently flexible with no cancellation fee until 30 June:
^ Classic Flight Rewards are available on Qantas, Jetstar and partner airlines.

Why is it not an option to cancel and rebook?

There is no availability and looking at the current price the flight is almost sold out.

Domestic? Nobody has checked my ID in years.
The only time where I can imagine this being an issue is at the lounge entry (can be avoided I guess) and when boarding (can't really be avoided ;) )

Do not worry about it. Done it before on JQ nobody said boo, its all self checkin these days anyway. Your name is basically just a mix of letters on the IT platform. It does not cross check passports, IDs etc..

Don't sit in an exit row. Crews get a list of pax in these rows, I have had a JQ flight before and some guy was on someone else's ticket (female), they offloaded him.
