I am also on a canal on the Sunny coast. However the levels on our canal this morning were at least 50cm lower than the highest we have had in the last 20 years.
But I am a member at Royal Beerwah, the old Baker finch farm.I have played a round or 3 at Headland though.

Also enduring a pause in the rain (been about 90 mins). Retaining wall holding up and drainage looks like it's working for the moment. Finishing dinner to the sounds of frogs :D

Finished off my junior years at Headland, been a member since 1980 ... only social membership these days. We should organise a golf day over drinks in IST

Not sure if we have a free day in IST, but I will arrange start a post for a game up here when we get back.

VA have cancelled all flights to OOL tomorrow, so another day in CBR

Very much looks like IST drinks is a bridge too far :( Oh well, Headland GC has a nice view...

Old house seems to be fine so far. But we really have to wait and see what happens when the rain from Marcia actually gets to Brisbane. And how that rain ties in to the tides.

The pause has morphed into a lull ... the current BOM warning has the projected rainfall at 250mm. Just an average day ;)

The grass will be very green for a few weeks :D

As I go to bed, all quiet in my northern neck of the Bridbane woods. No rain for 5 hours+. The stormwater drains are quiet. Still nice and humid but that doesn't mean much...

A lot lot of events are called off tomorrow.

Sorry QF WP.. I'll do my best to be on topic from now on :)

Marcia is now downgraded to a low pressure system, so the wind certainly shouldn't be much of a problem. However, it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for the rainfall - anything can happen, really. Also, despite the ex-cyclone being weakened as it continues to travel over land, it's important to note that the wind direction can change suddenly, so a place where it was shielded from the wind can become quite windy in a matter of minutes. Apart from that, I suppose I wouldn't be too worried, as long as we keep an eye out on the flood water level.

Absolutely bucketing down - heaviest falls yet!

400mm and counting....

Heavy rain and wind picking up considerably. Mooloolaba hit by on shore water spout about 45 minutes ago.

And drainage must be good at headland golf, today's social game is still on.
