I noticed the article below on Loyalty Lobby regarding changing fare classes on Alaska Airlines.

On 23 Feb, Alaska Airlines will change First Class fare classes from F to J, P to D etc. which will remove the ability to earn F class status credits on domestic routes when it enters the OneWorld alliance. However, it will also mean domestic First Class awards will be charged at Business rates (I assume that change will occur too).

AS hasn't joined OneWorld yet so we haven't really lost anything, but a shame as I enjoyed the high earning of AA First when it was available years ago. :)

Not a surprise. I suspect there will be a fair bit of alignment with AA.
Particularly be interested to see what they decide on lounge access an domestic itins

I'm still waiting to see what (if any) changes Alaskan makes to its award charts when it joins Oneworld. (Hopefully no changes at all, but let's see...)
