Hi all

Thanks to this web site my frequent flyer balances have continued to increase and I will be going on my first J international trip later this year on JAL & Qantas.

I have previously flown domestic J but I crave better now that I have the points. :)

So lets say you live in Australia (Melbourne) and you want to fly domestically or to New Zealand but only want to fly F. Can you fly the domestic legs of international airlines in F?

If so which domestic flights and flights to NZ can one do so and with which airlines?

Thanks Peter

Emirates to NZ!

Not much left now but still EK412 SYD-CHC or EK413 CHC-SYD can be done in F.

Foreign airlines don't usually have rights to carry stand-alone domestic passengers on their services (exceptions sometimes exist if have arrived on that that carrier from overseas).

I wonder how cabotage would affect a single ticket AU-NZ-AU with an immediate turn in NZ? Cabotage rules prevent an airline carrying passengers on what is essentially a domestic flight via a third country.
