Depending on the timing of two outstanding CC bonuses 100k + 70k I will either break even, or be down 170k.

I’m in the middle of the second leg of my 280k award and loving it, even though snow has been taken off Christmas Day forecast for New York.

Had a peak at Mrscove’s accounts and found one where some Miles are up for expiry in about 6 months time. On this particular account you can extend the life of those Miles by buying a 6 month extension for a cost of 12 per cent of those Miles. Ouch!
Clearly we need to book her or her Nominees to go somewhere. Unfortunately some are impecunious so I zeroed in on one who is between jobs. Mrscove could change her Nominees but still hopes she can travel with them.
Mrscove already has 4 international trips booked in 2018 but nothing in 2019.
Yes I think this could be a first world problem.
I doubt she wants to go to a trade show in Tel Aviv but she loves England. Time is still on her side to figure out what to do as she could book a run in May/June for almost one years time.You would lose those Miles if you had to cancel those flights or vary the booking dates.
It is her call and not mine.

Less but - F redemption Dubai to Adelaide x1. Two J redemptions Adelaide to Venice. Two J redemptions Budapest to Adelaide. And 2 F redemptions Manchester to Adelaide. Going to be a big 2018. And up to a nice stash again already. For 2019. Got 5 months to get cracking on that. I do treat MrP’s points as mine though now I’m on the same status as him. And for the last F booking Master P contributed quite some points.
(We did buy J return to Paris in the Qatar sale for September )

Lots of ways to rack up points this year despite the doom and gloom by some that the banking industry reform changes would mean less points.

If you arranged things correctly one's average points per $ should be higher than ever except for the ato miners.

And credit sign on bonii were plentiful.

Even my Velocity points are well on the way to a million points and that is a program I rarely use.

This month we are doing SQ new Suites to London on SQ Miles so that is exciting.

I will visit a points cultivator in London to get some fresh ideas with our latest trip.
It is just a game .....a bit like chess or monopoly but it can produce great results and saves plenty.

I have more this year again. Comes from a majority of work flying where I buy to earn rather than holiday's where I burn to save!!

Next year sees us with a SIN-LHR SQ suite booking which I guess has already been burned (at least they're gone from my account) but I still earned more than them. HH points continue to grow, so much so that I'm now used to the check in comments! Hopefully that balance will tumble as well.

It's full steam steam ahead for earning before the Amex deval in Apr.

Spent more than earnt this year but will be back in a couple more months hopefully.

Now to learn how to make the most of the Hilton program with my new gold status with my newly acquired platinum AMEX.

We spent a fair bit this year ( SQ J for two to SIN and back, and QF F for two to the US and back), so I’d guess we’ve ended the year with less. Though we certainly earned a good lot as well.
