Another year almost gone and I was wondering how you were going with your Points/Miles stash.
Do you end the year with more?

Still down a little after a Europe F/J QF classic award booking, but will be back to where we were by the time we take those flights in March.

I’m down heaps with 2 x SQ R and 3 x CX via QFF J bookings for 2, and a few weeks of IHG / Marriott accommodation in Sep/Oct :)

11k more than this time last year and had a F and J redemption to Europe.

Still over 500k points and planning

I may be just a little bit more. I am still chasing Mrscove on Qantas points. I am in front on Kris Miles, AA miles and Velocity points.
My two sons seem to like using my log ins. As a result I think they are both more.

Definitely down. Spent all my SQ points prior to the devaluation earlier in the year and have spent about half the QF points I accrued for some flights to NRT in May 2018.

I'm down quite a bit. But I did have 6 J class flights to the US as well as an F to Bangkok in the last 12 months in addition to more than 50 nights on points in 2017.

Much harder to accumulate points whilst out of Australia has been my 2017 experience.

A lot less but it means I have been using them :)

Less for me, burnt a few on J upgrades BNE-SIN return for me and Mrs BD.

Back to the new credit card turnover for me.

Thanks to tips from AFF I am up mainly from Amex explorer and changing home loans to NAB. Plus lots of small hints that add up for the year. At the start of the year my goal was to get enough points for myself and wife to have enough points for our first trip to Europe in Business Class. This is now booked and to also end up with more points at the end of 2017 is such a bonus.

1.1M spend against 800K earn, so down.

Yet to actually take the award flights in Jan, Mar and June so I have some time to churn a few credit cards and get back in the black.

I've booked quite a lot of flights using points this year, but they have mostly been short/medium-haul and I've managed to earn more than I've spent overall.

Now that I have enough QF points for another Oneworld Award I'm happier to spend my QF points, as long as I always retain at least 280k in the account.

QFF points really down: after latest award booking a few weeks ago, for which I had to buy some top-up points, balance was 312. Now up a bit again with credit card earn. I have been a bit lazy on the credit card churn with only one new card this year, delivering 100k. Need to set myself a churning target for next year.

Didn't burn any this year

Just too many uncertainties regarding timeline for next year so have held off on pulling the trigger on big trip

Points and Miles are for spending but we have my 91 year old mother in law living with us 5 or 6 nights a week. Our trips are shortened to just over 2 weeks at a time. Harder to plan but I do quicker business trips these days. I use points for business as well as personal.

Well more points earned this year, and none burned. Looking to burn them all on F for 2019....
