HI all
I have a few personal flights coming up and I just booked the first one. FRom expedia.com.au I got an emai l with a 6 digit reference that looks like an amadeus reference. I tried that to check my trip and check whether my QF number had been added - but neither QF or checkmytrip recognise the reference

Is there an easy way to check this number? When I flew to teh US a little while ago I had teh same problem - the travel agent reference wasnt an amadeus reference. When QF finally registered the flight I was able to check the flight details and then found the amadeus reference...

Any help would be appreciated - I really want to check the seats for me and mrs sim on the flights coming up to see if we can get get a good seat (I am QF gold which might have some little benefit)

Cheers

What I tend to do is phone QF and give them the flight details; they can then retrieve the booking and do the seat assignments and I then ask them for the Amadeus reference. if your QF FF number is in the booking, it should show in your bookings if you log into your QF account. Other than that, I am not aware of a way of obtaining it other than from the place puchased or the airline being travelled on.
