I disagree. I think FJ do go out of their way for QF platinums.

For example, in NAN there is an express checkin for QF Plats. The lounge in NAN always has a list of QF plats and chairmans club members.

I think that many of the benefits are unwritten.

I think the issue is QF will treat you like a pleb as a WP booked on an FJ code - no lounge access in SYD.

Never had a issue as WP out of NAN on FJ code.

Agree - QF went out of their way to try and exclude us once from the F lounge in Sydney.

We'd travelled up from MEL on QF.

It was only once I'd showed them the E-ticket issued by QF and 081 ticket number QF sold flight etc etc that they would let us in.

Had some mixed results in Nadi lounge today. Flying Fiji on QF Code Share.

Bad: Access to lounge was refused, as I had my wife and 4 and 6 year old. Access is only 1 guest. Kids under 3 don't count. Did see a few other WP's with families in tow turned away after me.
Good: the other WP in the lounge who took one child in as his guest, and lounge lady wavied the extra child in.
Good: Platinum Shadow works on FJ. 2 spare seats in Economy, and I had one.

I'd did read the rules today, and it does list the rules for associated lounges as 1 guest only, but I'd never had issues with young children before.

They can be exceptionally cough in NAN.

Had a battle a few years ago when I was WP, other half was PS and had actually ticked over to SG on the way to NAN but obviously had no card or anything. 2 of us in J and 2 in Y so we should have been ok, but they wanted a card. Might add - we were on the midnight flight to HNL and there was literally nobody in the lounge. Agent said "one of you has to leave". Ended up paying the $FJ50 fee for the extra person. Waste in the end. All the food was away, all the beers were out of the fridge and there was no ice!

Just a query follow up to this thread. It seems that eligibility for access at sydney has changed so reference to having a qf flight number has been removed except for qantas club members. Now requires frequent flyers to be flying on oneworld marketed AND operated flight. So I take it that access is no longer available even if flying on qf flight number? Happy to be corrected.

Next onward flight must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld operated and marketed flight. #

Did it two weeks ago on the QF flight number. No issues.

The sold as QFxx_ no longer appears however on the BP.

Just looking through this thread and it seems that no-one actually answered the baggage part of the question.

What baggage allowance does a QF Platinum (& Gold for that matter) on a FJ flight bought on a QF ticket. (Flying economy or business)
